Weight Calculation Formula

For Angles:

Weight (kg/m) = [(Width + Height - Thickness) × Thickness × 0.00785]

For Channels:

Weight (kg/m) = [(Height × Web Thickness) + (2 × Flange Width × Flange Thickness)] × 0.00785

Note: 0.00785 is the density factor for mild steel
